Description:

A Medical Malpractice Defense Firm is a defense-oriented firm looking for an attorney with 2-5 years of experience to join our Nursing Home Defense, Medical Malpractice, and General Litigation team. This is a office position located in the downtown area (Attendance is Required).

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with billing software
  • Assist with drafting legal documents, including motions and pleadings
  • Assist with the discovery process by answering and issuing written discovery, administering depositions, and examining documents
  • Negotiate settlements
  • Perform legal research
  • Make court appearances as necessary
  • Conduct and summarize depositions

Education Requirements:
  • JD degree from an accredited law school
  • License to practice law in Illinois
  • (Preferred) 2-5 years' experience at a law firm or as an in-house counsel

License/Certification:
Bar (Preferred)
