Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled Defense Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various areas of law including Third Party, Personal Injury Law, Premises Liability, and Insurance Defense. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual with exceptional negotiation skills and a passion for the legal field.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in civil litigation and other legal proceedings.
- 2- 5 years of experience (desired)
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various cases.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
- Attend court hearings and trials as required.
- Provide legal counsel to clients on a range of legal issues.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the cases handled.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm.
- Manage case files and documentation efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in the state of Florida.
- Proven experience in Third Party, Personal Injury Law, premises liability, insurance defense, etc.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in conducting legal research using tools like Westlaw.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
