Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated and personable Construction and Real Estate Attorney to join our team. This role is ideal for a legal professional who thrives in a collaborative and organized environment, enjoys client interaction, and can manage shifting priorities with professionalism and ease. You'll play a key role in supporting developers, contractors, property owners, and other stakeholders on a wide range of legal matters in the real estate and construction industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise clients on real estate transactions, land use, zoning, permitting, and construction matters
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, leases, purchase agreements, and construction-related legal documents
  • Handle construction-related disputes, including defect claims, mechanic's liens, and project delays
  • Support clients through litigation, arbitration, or mediation as needed
  • Coordinate with colleagues and legal staff to ensure consistent and timely case progress
  • Respond to urgent matters while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
  • Communicate clearly and positively with clients, regulators, and opposing counsel
  • Stay up to date on relevant local, state, and federal legal developments

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas
  • 3+ years of experience in construction law, real estate law, or both
  • Strong legal drafting, research, and communication skills
  • Comfortable working within a structured, policy-driven environment
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Capable of managing multiple cases and shifting priorities in a dynamic setting
