About the role:
Szilagyi & Daly is seeking a full-time litigation attorney to join its team at the firm's office in Hartford, CT. This on-site role involves managing legal cases, preparing and reviewing legal documents, providing legal advice to clients, conducting legal research, and engaging in negotiation and litigation processes. Trial experience and portable business is a plus. The Attorney will contribute to the firm's mission of delivering top-tier legal defense and trial representation for its clients.

Responsibilities:

Manage legal cases
Prepare and review legal documents
Provide legal advice to clients
Conduct legal research
Engage in negotiation and litigation processes

Qualifications:

Strong foundation in law and expertise in areas such as products liability, construction defect, premises liability, professional liability, and automobile and trucking claims
Proficiency in providing legal advice and counsel to clients
Advanced research skills to prepare for cases and ensure well-supported legal arguments
Effective negotiation skills for settlements and dispute resolution
Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Experience in depositions and contested hearings
Admission to the Connecticut Bar and in good standing
Prior experience in civil litigation or defense law is a strong advantage
