Description:
An American Law Firm is seeking a highly qualified junior to midlevel associate to join our tax-exempt practice group in our DC office. The successful candidate will join a national team that advises leading nonprofits on their tax, transactional and other regulatory matters and include public charities, private foundations, healthcare systems, universities, trade associations and social welfare organizations.Qualifications include:
- Two to five years' law firm experience in multiple areas of tax law, tax-exempt organizations, transactional planning, corporate governance, and estate planning
- Effective and persuasive written and oral communication skills; law review or other comparable experience indicating significant research and writing skills
- Excellent project management and analytical skills
- Ability to manage a fast-paced and complex workload while prioritizing and anticipating issues
- Excellent professional references
- A strong academic record
- A strong tax background – LL.M is preferred
- Admitted to practice law in DC or eligible to waive in
Benefits:
- The expected annual salary for this position ranges from $235,000 to $315,000. The salary offered will be determined by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, experience level, education/training, and relevant skills.
