Description:
Boutique Immigration Law Firm in Dallas and Houston Texas seeks associate attorneys who are ready to make an impact on the world as we work together to unite the world, one client one family at a time. What we offer:
You will learn all aspects of immigration law, including removal defense, political asylum, family based immigration, and employment and investment immigration. Any aspect of immigration law that interests you, we do it and can help you grow your knowledge and experience in that area.
You will have the chance to help individuals and families reach their goals of coming to the US; protect themselves from deportation or returning to a place where they may be persecuted; help victims of crime and domestic violence find an immigration path; reunite families who have been apart for many years; and invest in the US to help grow our economy while providing for their families and the families of those who work with them.
You will learn how to effectively practice as an attorney, including sales and consultations, how to fiercely and ethically represent individuals and families as they navigate through the challenging US immigration system, and how to advocate strongly in the face of an overwhelmingly challenging bureaucracy.
If you already have experience in immigration law, we have opportunities to continue to develop and hone your skills and leadership abilities.
If you don't have experience, that's OK with us. We can teach you what you need to know to become an effective advocate and practitioner quickly.
You will find the work we do to be incredibly rewarding as you have a significant impact on individuals and families struggling to find a way forward in the US.
Paid holidays, paid time off, access to health insurance, retirement savings plan with company match, firmwide monthly training, stipend towards CLE compliance, annual licensing fees, and more.
Compensation based on experience, with opportunities to receive bonus compensation for reaching individual and firm targets.
What we do not offer:
Crazy work hours - we strongly believe in work/life balance and encourage our team to leave it at the office at the end of the day.
Working hard to make rich people richer - we practice what we call the law of the people. Our purpose as a firm is to impact and change our clients' lives and help them reach their individual and family goals.
Overwhelming billable hours expectations - in fact, we don't bill time at all. We work together as a teach to accomplish the financial targets we set as a firm. Almost every case we open is a fixed fee for a specific scope of work.
Exposure to other areas of law - we are committed to focusing the firm on immigration cases only.
What We Need:
US license to practice law - the jurisdiction does not matter.
A strong desire to help people change their lives and accomplish their goals.
A commitment to excellence and honesty in your work.
A desire to grow and learn.
What we prefer:
In our business, it helps if you are bilingual in English and Spanish. That said, we can accommodate those who do not speak Spanish with translation support.
If you are fluent in a language other than Spanish or English, we may be able to structure our marketing efforts to ensure the public is aware of that ability and provide opportunities for new clients and consultations in that language.
Authorization to work in the US independent of sponsorship. However, we will consider TN sponsorship for citizens of Mexico and Canada, H-1B transfers, H-1B cap sponsorship for those on OPT or other work authorization, and PERM.
Come help us help others reach their immigration goals while reaching your professional goals. Our motto is "Families, not Files," and we work hard to live up to that motto every day. Join us and see the impact you can make in the world.
