Description:
Under the general supervision of the Chief General Counsel or designee, the Associate General Counsel plays a vital role in managing legal matters essential to protecting CMHA's interests and ensuring compliance with applicable laws. This position focuses primarily on litigation, managing all phases of legal disputes, including pre-litigation counseling, discovery, trial preparation, and resolution. The Associate General Counsel will also provide legal guidance on housing and employment-related issues and represent CMHA in various administrative and judicial proceedings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive, organized, and solutions-oriented approach to litigation and will actively support the Authority's mission, vision, and values while enhancing workplace culture for internal and external stakeholders.Education: A Juris Doctorate Degree required. Must be admitted to the Ohio and Federal Bar for the Northern District of Ohio.
Experience: 5+ years of litigation experience, with a preference for housing or employment law.
