Working with us, you will:
- Assist in developing corporate policies, procedures, and programs.
- Review corporate transactions, such as contract and lease reviews/negotiations.
- Consult with the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel to determine the merits of project and employment claims made against or on behalf of the company.
- Participate in business transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
- Participate in legal aspects of the company's financing, including assessing current and future business structures and legal entities.
- Advise on best practices in corporate governance, understanding of compliance issues, and regulatory issues.
- Participate in the evaluation of the company's insurance programs.
- Participate in the support of patent pursuits by the company.
An ideal candidate has:
- 1 – 3 years' experience in construction and transactional law. In-house counsel experience strongly preferred, though relevant outside counsel experience will also be considered.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school required. Undergraduate Engineering or Architectural degree preferred.
- Active bar membership required.
- Excellent legal, analytical, and communication skills.
- Developed and professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels of the company.
- Working knowledge of Adobe software. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
