Aeschleman Law, PC is looking to immediately hire a mid-level family law associate attorney (4+ years' experience) to join our boutique family law team located in San Jose. While we are looking for a full-time attorney, part-time or contract applicants with competitive credentials will be considered. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional legal services to our clients while also keeping true to operating as a small close-knit law firm. The associate attorney hired for the position must be confident in representing clients from the inception of a case through its conclusion, including making necessary court appearances, handling client management, drafting pleadings and discovery, communicating with opposing counsel and experts, and other necessary case-related tasks. Support from other attorneys and our paralegal staff will be available.

Job Requirements:
Applicants for this position must have:
  • 4 years of experience as a family law litigator which includes:
  • representation of clients before judicial officers
  • significant experience with motion drafting and research
  • significant experience with drafting, reviewing, and responding to discovery - A strong understanding of the Code of Civil Procedure is required
  • experience in the management of cases from beginning to end
  • experience in consultation with potential clients or new clients wherein the candidate was required to assess the potential client's case and issue-spot accordingly
  • Active membership with the State Bar of California with no history of disciplinary action
  • Excellent writing skills (we will request a writing sample as part of the application process)
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Remarkable attention to detail
  • Professional drive to provide the best possible services to our clients
  • Confidence to work individually and as part of a team
  • Friendly, positive attitude with excellent client-communication skills
