The growing Education Group seeks a highly skilled and motivated associate attorney to represent in K-12 school entities and work with school boards, administrators, teachers, and other school/staff employees in a variety of a legal matters, while working closely with Senior Counsel and Shareholders within that practice group.

  • Work with school boards, administrators, teachers, and other school employees/staff in providing guidance and representation in administrative proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on education law issues collaborating with senior members of the Education Law group.
  • Analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and legal documents to provide accurate guidance.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear and concise legal advice.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and colleagues to develop legal and case strategies.
  • Attend public meetings of school boards.

  • 3-5 years of experience practicing law, specifically in education or employment law.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active and in good standing with the State Bar Association.
  • Judicial clerkship experience is a plus and those with private practice experience or trial/litigation experience are preferred.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism and ethical conduct.
