What we are looking for:
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our associate attorney team. The ideal candidate must have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in the state of California. Ultimately, we are looking for a candidate to join our collaborative working environment, who is enthusiastic about developing their legal expertise and contributing to the continued success of our firm.

Qualifications:
  • 0 – 2 years experience practicing law (post bar clerk will also be considered)
  • Experience in estate planning, trust, probate, transactional, civil or family law
  • Litigation experience
  • Organized, prompt and thorough
  • Work independently and follows instructions effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Possess excellent research, writing, verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through litigation process
  • Court appearances
  • Propound and respond to discovery
  • Participate in settlement conferences
  • Draft correspondence, pleadings, motions and briefs
  • Conduct legal research
  • Conduct and defend depositions
  • Prepare for and participate in trials
  • Participate in non-litigated probate, trust and conservatorship matters
