Fort Lauderdale law firm seeks full-time attorney to handle reverse mortgage foreclosure

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Representation of large creditors in reverse mortgage foreclosure matters
  • Monitor and complete daily task list
  • Draft and review pleadings and other filings
  • Work closely with mortgage banking clients to provide top-level legal services
  • Prioritize and work at a fast pace on a high volume of files, with a great attention to detail
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, depositions, and code enforcement hearings across the State, both in-person and remotely
  • Exercise a high-degree of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy and collections requirements (as applicable)

Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of reverse mortgage foreclosure experience
  • Experience in various client systems used in default services, such as LPS, Lenstar, and TEMPO preferred
  • Experience with CaseAware a plus
  • Intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and through written electronic correspondence
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze corrective action opportunities and present recommendations

Required Education and Training
  • Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school
  • Florida Bar membership
