Litner + Deganian, P.C. is currently seeking a Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney to advocate for individuals who have suffered significant injuries due to the negligence or wrongdoing of others. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload from inception to resolution, leading the strategy and tactical execution of superior client representation.Litner + Deganian, P.C. is a mid-sized, established personal injury law firm and needs a self-motivated, fast learner to hit the ground running. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and drive all aspects of resolving personal injury claims, including treatment, evidence that substantiate a strong demand, negotiation, settlement or litigation.
- Maintain proactive, transparent, and empathetic communication with clients, explaining legal procedures or terminology and managing expectations along the journey.
- Analyze a variety of case facts and evidence to position the client's claim for settlement or trial.
- Perform comprehensive research and develop effective case strategies to establish liability, causation and maximize client recovery.
- Draft and file all required legal documents, including demand letters, settlement agreements, complaints, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
- Methodically adhere to statutes, procedural requirements and deadlines in personal injury claims.
- Negotiate and finalize settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel, striving to achieve optimal outcomes for clients out of court or through litigation.
- Collaborate with a team of case managers, paralegals, legal assistants and operational resources and tools to build and resolve cases.
- Strong knowledge of the laws and rules governing civil practice in Georgia; knowledge of mediation, trial and hearing procedures.
- Superior analytical and critical thinking skills to analyze information, spot legal issues, and execute effective solutions.
- High level of empathy and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and teammates who may be under significant stress.
- Highly organized and detailed oriented; proactive case and people management.
- Excellent negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal information in an approachable manner.
- Proficiency and comfort with new technologies, case management software, legal research tools and Microsoft Office.
Experience & Qualifications:
- JD degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice in Georgia, in good standing
- 3–10 years of experience in tort law, civil litigation and/or insurance law
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus, but not required
