Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Associate Attorney to join our team, focusing on insurance defense. This is a full-time, in-office position, ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys tackling the challenges of insurance defense litigation.Responsibilities:
- Defend insurance companies and their clients in a variety of claims, including personal injury, property damage, and liability cases.
- Handle cases from start to finish, including drafting pleadings, taking depositions, attending hearings, and preparing for trial.
- Work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and work toward favorable outcomes.
- Draft and file legal documents such as motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
- Conduct legal research and stay current on Florida law and procedural rules.
- Regularly communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and experts to ensure effective case preparation.
- Maintain organized case files and keep clients and insurance carriers updated on case progress.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active member of The Florida Bar in good standing.
- Minimum 3 years of insurance defense litigation experience.
- Strong skills in depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
- Solid legal research and writing abilities.
- Strong communication skills and a client-centered approach.
Preferred Experience:
Experience handling PIP, auto liability, and general liability defense cases. Proven success in insurance defense litigation, with trial experience being a plus. Familiarity with Clio a plus.
