A Law Firm in Damariscotta, ME is seeking a full-time associate to join its busy Mid-Coast law practice. Ideal candidates will have experience in litigation and be admitted to practice in Maine. Job responsibilities include direct client contact, legal research and discovery, preparation of motions and pleadings, counseling clients, and representation appearances in courts, state agencies, and municipal boards. Ideal candidates will also be willing to learn and participate in firm-wide systems and workflows, have a strong client service ethic, be proficient in use of practice management software and Microsoft Office products, and ability to work independently.While the primary focus of this position is on litigation, A Law Firm in Damariscotta, ME also has a strong transactional practice. Ideal candidates will be willing to work, as needed, on matters outside of litigation and assist the firm's real estate, probate, corporate, and estate planning practices.
