We are seeking an Associate Attorney. This is a great opportunity for a highly-motivated attorney be an integral part of a growing firm. You will represent clients in unlawful detainer and other civil proceedings, as well as administrative hearings with the City of Los Angeles and/or the rent control board.

Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in court or before government agencies
  • Represent landlords and affordable housing providers in housing-related issues, including: inception/termination of tenancy; Fair Housing and similar complaints.
  • Motion practice, including drafting complaints/responsive pleadings.
  • Draft and argue your own motions in court
  • Propound and respond to discovery
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Prepare and draft legal documents
  • Advise clients on business and legal transactions
  • Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
  • Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law

​​Qualifications:
  • Prior civil litigation experience preferred
  • Previous experience in unlawful detainer preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish Speaker preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a licensed State Bar of California member; no paralegals, legal assistants, or office managers needed.

Salary range is $100K to $150K, or commensurate with experience.
