Small law firm located in Upper Marlboro that has been representing local governments in Maryland for more than 30 years with their tax collection needs. They have a recent opening for an associate attorney. Candidate must be a licensed Maryland attorney. Some District Court litigation experience is a plus but is not required. (experienced attorneys on hand to assist learning the ropes of proper practice in District Court). The firm maintains a high-volume litigation caseload and there is regular communication with our government clients and the business community, so the individual must be bright, well-spoken, highly organized and able to handle a large case load. We are looking for a person residing in the Prince Frederick or Waldorf area because the person filling this position will have court appearances in Calvert County, Charles County, and St. Mary's County.
