Job Overview:
Family law associate with 2-3+ years of experience immediately needed!

We are looking for an attorney that will work 1:1:1 with our family law attorney / total baller, Miranda Baner, and a dedicated family law paralegal.

This associate should be capable of independently handling family law cases in Pierce and King counties. The firm primarily handles family law cases such as dissolutions, petitions to establish or modify parenting plans, child support issues, issues related thereto. We do not generally handle adoptions, juvenile court matters, etc.

Mentorship is a big part of this position. We are looking for an attorney that is eager and willing to learn. We want someone that also knows the value of solving problems independently or at least attempting to do so before asking for help.

Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in legal proceedings, including litigation and negotiations.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, child support orders, settlements, parenting plans, and CR2A agreements.
  • Provide excellent legal guidance to clients while maintaining professionalism to clients, staff, opposing counsel, and everyone else involved in the legal process.
  • Collaborate with senior attorney and support staff to ensure comprehensive case management.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting practice areas.

Skills:
  • Strong litigation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients in court.
  • Proficient in legal drafting with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of family law in Washington State.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and solve complex legal issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interaction and collaboration internally.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

License/Certification:
Washington State Bar License (Required)
