Description:
Position Overview:The Associate Attorney will handle criminal law cases, representing clients in various stages of the legal process. The role involves substantial court appearances and working closely with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure clients receive the best possible legal representation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in criminal cases at hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents, including motions, briefs, and discovery responses.
- Conduct legal research to support case strategy and arguments.
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on criminal matters.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case preparation and strategy.
- Manage case files and documentation in an organized manner.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.
- Attend court hearings throughout Eastern Washington as required.
Qualifications:
- Required: Washington State Bar License.
- Not Required but nice: Idaho State Bar License.
- 1-5 years of experience in criminal law is required.
- Experience in other areas of law is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, diverse caseload.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
