Seeking full-time litigation associate for labor and employment practice at Hiroshima Daggett, a Rancho Cordova firm. Preference may be given to those with general litigation and labor and employment experience, though new attorneys are welcome to apply. Experience preparing and responding to discovery is helpful. Excellent writing and Lexis Nexis research skills are required.

The associate position is roughly split between two areas of practice: (1) The Firm serves as outside general counsel to a wide variety of nonprofit and religious organizations, which primarily focuses on fielding labor and employment questions from HR and corporate officers. We also provide general advising on contract law, corporate law, and legal compliance for many small businesses. The position requires someone that is proactive and can work independently to provide answers to the responsible partner or attorney. (2) The Firm litigates employment, contract, and personal injury matters for various organizations and individuals. This position involves propounding discovery, legal research and memo writing, writing motions, communicating with clients, and attending hearings.
