The Law Office of Mallison & Martinez was founded in February 2005 with the goal of bringing the highest level of lawyering possible to workers. Our office represents mostly minimum wage, mono-lingual Spanish clients in agricultural, janitorial, service and manufacturing industries.

Associate Attorney Responsibilities:
  • Represent low-wage workers in wage and hour class actions, California Labor Code Private Attorney General Actions (PAGA), Race and Sexual discrimination, harassment and workplace products liability cases.
  • Attorney will have extensive contact with clients and will have the opportunity to work on cases in both Federal and State courts, mediation and administrative agencies such as California Labor & workforce Development Agency, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Department of Fair Employment & Housing, NLRB, ALRB and Cal-OSHA.
  • Additional responsibilities include legal research, law & motion, pleadings, discovery, court appearances, depositions, case management and client communications.
  • Ideal candidate must have a strong commitment to workers rights and possess excellent academic credentials, strong organization, research, writing and analytical skills.

Requirements:
  • Must be admitted to the California State Bar
  • At least 1 year of Litigation Experience
  • We know that it is impossible for us to properly represent our clients if we do not first listen to their issues and concerns. Therefore, lawyer candidates should speak Spanish (other indigenous languages such as Mixteco or Triqui are a plus) and be willing to meet with clients when they are available, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle urgent tasks and requests simultaneously with a high level of competence and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask.
