Job Summary:An Employment Attorney, a Columbus-area law firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney to assist on litigation files, with opportunities to serve as lead counsel, in both state and federal courts. Specific practice areas include insurance defense, constitutional law, employment law, public sector representation, construction law, personal injury, general business litigation, and/or workers' compensation. Depending on candidate's interest, position can also include labor and civil service law matters, including employer-side collective bargaining work. Responsibilities:
This position involves significant client contact and immediate responsibility. Must be admitted to the practice of law in the state of Ohio, and at least two years of litigation experience is required. Trial experience is a bonus but not necessary. The candidate will receive invaluable practical experience and the opportunity to grow professionally with the firm. While the office is located in New Albany, Ohio, the service range includes most of the state. Some flexibility for working remotely is available.

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Strong knowledge of Insurance Defense, Constitutional Law, Employment Law, Public Sector Representation, Construction Law, Personal Injury, General Business Litigation and/or Workers' Compensation Laws, Rules and Regulations, or other related fields.
- Excellent research skills with the ability to analyze complex legal issues.
- Proficient in legal drafting with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being able to handle cases independently.
- Prior experience in litigation is preferred but not required.
