Position Overview:
We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 1–5 years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping clients navigate complex family law issues from start to finish. While family law experience is advantageous, the firm welcomes candidates with diverse legal backgrounds who possess strong analytical and writing skills and are enthusiastic about transitioning into family law.

Qualifications:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • 1–5 years of legal experience.
  • Strong writing, research, and oral communication skills.
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively on complex matters.
  • Excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platforms (ex. Westlaw).

Pluses:
  • Prior experience in family law.
  • Ability to represent clients in court, mediation, and negotiations.
  • Familiarity with family law accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of family law matters from intake to resolution.
  • Prepare legal documents including, but not limited to, pleadings, letters, motions, written discovery, settlement agreements, judgments, subpoenas, and trial briefs.
  • Conduct legal research and stay current on relevant laws and precedents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Travel to offices and courts throughout Southern California as required.
  • Exhibit strong time management and billing discipline, consistently maintaining at least 140 billable hours per month.
