Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to take on significant responsibility in a collaborative environment while making a meaningful impact in the lives of injured clients.
Primary Practice Areas
- Motor vehicle accidents and traffic crashes
- Slip and fall cases
- Toxic tort litigation
- General personal injury matters
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury matters from inception through resolution
- Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and expert witnesses
- Attend case management conferences and court hearings
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel
- Collaborate with medical experts, accident reconstruction specialists, and other professionals
- Maintain regular client communication and provide case updates
- Assist with trial preparation and courtroom advocacy as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Illinois (Wisconsin bar admission preferred but not required)
- Minimum 1 year of personal injury litigation experience
- Experience with personal injury case management and litigation procedures
- Strong deposition and courtroom advocacy skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in legal research and case management software
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trial experience in personal injury matters
- Knowledge of Illinois and Wisconsin personal injury law and procedures
- Experience with toxic tort or complex litigation matters
- Established relationships with medical providers and experts
- Bilingual capabilities (Spanish preferred)
