Role Description:This is a full-time, on-site role for an Associate Attorney at A Law Firm Austin, TX Under the mentorship and guidance of experienced attorneys, the Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice, conducting research, drafting memoranda, contracts, pleadings, and handling various legal matters. They will assist in representing and advocating on behalf of clients before state regulatory agencies and local government entities and also provide support in administrative litigation. The Associate Attorney will have opportunities to work directly with clients as knowledge and experience in the practice area expands.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active license to practice law in Texas is required
- Experience of 1-7 years as a practicing attorney preferred
- Excellent legal research and writing skills required, as the position entails extensive document drafting
- Strong knowledge of administrative and local government law preferred, but not required
- Must be willing and able to participate in all aspects of administrative litigation
- Must be able to attend evening client meetings as requested
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload and work efficiently
- Ability to attend work regularly and work additional hours as needed to complete projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to use personal computer proficiently, specifically with Microsoft Word
