Role and Responsibilities: As an Associate Attorney, you will play a vital role in our firm's success by contributing your legal expertise and dedication. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting legal research and analysis to support client cases and projects.
  • Drafting legal documents, contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Assisting in the preparation and management of court filings and attendance at hearings.
  • Collaborating with partners, senior attorneys, and support staff to ensure seamless client service.
  • Participating in client meetings, negotiations, and settlement discussions.
  • Conducting initial consultations with prospective new clients.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New Mexico State Bar and in good standing with 1-5 years of experience; pending Bar admission/recent graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
  • Familiarity with Clio or similar practice management/timekeeping software.

Working Conditions and Requirements: We are a fully remote law firm, but Associate Attorneys must be capable of attending in-person court dates, mediations, depositions, etc., as needed. Applicants are required to have basic home office equipment with the ability for video conferencing and a reliable internet connection. Business hours are 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday; part-time and full-time options available.
