Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Virginia-barred Associate Attorney to join our litigation and commercial transactions team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of matters, from complex commercial disputes to high-value transactional work. The ideal candidate will have 0-4 years of experience, a strong academic background, and a passion for delivering high-quality legal services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents related to litigation and commercial transactions, including contracts, pleadings, motions, and discovery.
  • Support senior attorneys in managing ongoing cases and transactions, including conducting legal research, drafting memoranda, and preparing trial and deposition materials.
  • Attend client meetings, hearings, depositions, and other proceedings as needed, providing support and gaining hands-on experience in both litigation and transactional work.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, answer questions, and gather necessary information.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies, business proposals, and other legal solutions.
  • Stay current with legal developments and trends, particularly in the area of auto dealer law.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • 0-4 years of experience in litigation, commercial transactions, or a related practice area.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Admission to the bar in Virginia.
  • Maryland bar admission is a plus.

  • Experience with contract negotiation, drafting, and review.
  • Familiarity with civil litigation procedures and rules.
  • Experience with corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, or other business-related matters.
  • Knowledge of legal technology and case management software.
