Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our small office. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a diverse range of litigation and trial practice areas, including business, real estate and family law. We do no personal injury or other contingency work. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional legal services, conducting thorough research using platforms like LexisNexis and Westlaw, and drafting clear, compelling legal documents. The ideal candidate will work along with Mr. Mokhtarzadeh in providing support for trial preparations, discovery and motion practice in State of California matters. This office solely represents litigants in legal proceedings, arbitrations, mediations or other alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

Duties:
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing LexisNexis or Westlaw to support case strategies and client advisories
  • Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity
  • Assist in preparing cases for litigation by organizing evidence, drafting motions, and coordinating discovery processes
  • Provide counsel on a variety of practice areas such as business litigation, real estate related disputes including landlord-tenant disputes, and complex family law matters.
  • Support negotiations between parties to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining professionalism and adherence to legal standards
  • Maintain meticulous records of case files and legal administrative documentation to ensure compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with clients directly to gather information, explain legal options clearly, and foster trust throughout the legal process

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in relevant jurisdiction(s)
  • Proven experience or strong interest in practicing multiple areas of law including business, real estate and family law.
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw; experience with research tools like Westlaw and Timeslips is a plus
  • Excellent writing skills demonstrated through clear legal drafting and effective communication
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients' interests
  • Prior legal administrative experience preferred to manage case documentation efficiently
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex legal issues critically and develop strategic solutions
