Overview:Looking for someone to join our firm as soon as possible. Aggressive and busy civil rights law trial firm looking for an Associate Attorney. Our firm's sole focus is employee rights litigation involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, unequal pay, and wage law violations. Position is primarily remote with occasional in-person meetings, depositions, and court appearances. Must be self-disciplined and prepared to handle cases independently (with ongoing training and support from managing attorneys). Enormous room for career growth and potential for substantial performance bonuses.
Remote-centric, hybrid work environment.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations as necessary and with supervision.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on cases involving workplace harassment, discrimination, and wage and hour issues.
- Engage in litigation processes, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on case progress and address any concerns.
Skills:
- Some experience in employment or wage and hour law is preferred. We are willing to train.
- Proficient in legal research methodologies and tools.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents clearly and persuasively.
- Strong analytical skills to assess complex legal issues and develop strategic solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
