Position Overview: As our firm has grown, we have decided to bring on an attorney to assist in our firm's civil law cases. The Associate Attorney will handle a caseload largely in Idaho State and Tribal Courts. These range from family law cases to landlord-tenant cases. This position offers the flexibility of hybrid remote work, with in-office presence required for mentorship, court hearings, client meetings, and collaborative teamwork. The attorney will be expected to maintain a high standard of legal practice, manage a full caseload, and consistently meet billable hour goals.

You will be entrusted with managing your own caseload of civil law cases, handling everything from initial consultation to final resolution. After a mentorship period when you feel comfortable working independently, you will be able to work autonomously and set your own schedule, while still receiving the support and resources you need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in a variety of family law and other civil matters in Idaho State and Tribal Courts.
  • Draft legal documents, including petitions, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients and develop case strategies.
  • Attend court hearings, trials, and settlement conferences.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes effectively.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff in a hybrid remote work environment.
  • Handle cases from start to finish with a high level of independence and accountability.
  • 1,500 billable hours a year, which is approximately 32 billable hours per week

Qualifications:
  • Barred in either Washington or Idaho. Will need to be barred in at least Idaho within 6 months. Idaho bar preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Preexisting strength in or willing to learn client relationship skills, with an ability to maintain professional yet empathetic interactions

Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary not including benefits: $70,000

Hybrid remote work environment. We have an office in Spokane, Washington and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. This position will work mainly out of the Coeur d'Alene, Idaho office

Pay: $70,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
