Description:

Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in criminal defense cases, including misdemeanors and felonies.
  • Prepare and argue motions, conduct legal research, and draft pleadings.
  • Attend court hearings, arraignments, plea negotiations, and trials.
  • Conduct client interviews and maintain clear communication throughout the legal process.
  • Analyze case law, statutes, and evidence to develop strong defense strategies.
  • Negotiate with prosecutors to achieve favorable plea agreements when applicable.
  • Assist in jury selection, witness preparation, and trial advocacy.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Alabama and in good standing with the Alabama State Bar.
  • Experience or strong interest in criminal defense law.
  • Strong litigation, negotiation, and trial preparation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Passion for defending the rights of individuals facing criminal charges.
  • Travel to courts in various cities across Alabama as needed for client representation.
