Responsibilities:

Represent clients in criminal defense cases, including misdemeanors and felonies.
Prepare and argue motions, conduct legal research, and draft pleadings.
Attend court hearings, arraignments, plea negotiations, and trials.
Conduct client interviews and maintain clear communication throughout the legal process.
Analyze case law, statutes, and evidence to develop strong defense strategies.
Negotiate with prosecutors to achieve favorable plea agreements when applicable.
Assist in jury selection, witness preparation, and trial advocacy.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in Alabama and in good standing with the Alabama State Bar.
Experience or strong interest in criminal defense law.
Strong litigation, negotiation, and trial preparation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Passion for defending the rights of individuals facing criminal charges.
Travel to courts in various cities across Alabama as needed for client representation.
