Description:

Position Summary: The Commercial Real Estate Attorney will be under the supervision of a senior real estate shareholder and will be expected to provide comprehensive legal services and counsel to clients in complex real estate transactions and finance matters. This role includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts related to acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and financing of commercial properties. The attorney will also provide strategic advice on regulatory compliance, risk management, title review, and due diligence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements for commercial real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, and lease agreements.
  • Work with other attorneys in the firm to provide legal advice on financing structures, including secured lending, joint ventures, and equity investments.
  • Conduct due diligence and manage title and survey reviews for real estate transactions.
  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance, zoning, environmental matters, and risk management.
  • Represent clients in negotiations with lenders, developers, investors, and other parties.
  • Assist in the structuring and closing of real estate and financing transactions.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate efficient deal completion.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Texas State Bar membership in good standing.
  • 3-7+ years of experience in commercial real estate and finance transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate law, commercial lending, and financial structuring.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
