Description:

The Office of the State's Attorney for A Government Entity is looking to hire an Assistant State's Attorney to prosecute criminal cases. In addition to prosecuting cases, the ideal candidate should be experienced in advising and supporting police agencies, managing and supervising special programs, for example: Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network, Child Advocacy, Opioid Task Force and Drug Task Force Operations.

The Office of the State's Attorney for A Government Entity is located in Salisbury, Maryland, and employs approximately eighteen prosecutors. Employment includes a comprehensive benefits package from Wicomico County.

Qualifications:
State of Maryland License to practice Law Required. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Comprehensive knowledge of Maryland laws and related Federal statutes. Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, practices and references utilized in legal research. Thorough knowledge of legal office procedures and practices. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with court officials, the legal community and the general public. Ability to present complex ideas effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to handle trial litigation. Prior experience as an Assistant State's Attorney is preferred but not required. Must pass background check and drug testing.
