Job Summary/Basic Function:The Assistant General Counsel will be critical in providing in-depth legal research, analysis and advice to the General Counsel, as well as university senior leadership, staff, and faculty regarding the impact of legal risks involving the university.

Law
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in Indiana or able to be admitted within 12 months
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance matters
- Proven leadership and managerial capabilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience in advising senior management leadership
- Proficiency in legal research tools
- Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents
- Experience in risk management and mitigation

Preferred Relevant Education and Experience
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Experience in higher education or for a public agency preferred
- 3-4 years of experience
