Opportunity:Akin's Antitrust practice is seeking a highly qualified attorney with at least three years of experience to join our team. We are open to hiring at the associate, counsel, or senior counsel level, depending on experience and fit. Our preferred office location is Washington, DC, but we are open to candidates based in any of our U.S. offices. A sign‑on bonus may be considered for qualified candidates.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling antitrust merger review and merger‑related investigations. Experience analyzing and preparing HSR filings is preferred; candidates with familiarity with the HSR form and filing process will also be considered. The role may also include occasional antitrust litigation support. Strong academic credentials and comparable law firm or government experience is required.
About the Practice:
Our Antitrust practice is primarily focused on antitrust merger review and merger‑related investigations, though the practice also handles a more limited amount of antitrust litigation. Our lawyers regularly advise on complex domestic and cross‑border transactions and work closely with competition authorities in the United States and abroad. The practice group consists of former government officials, engineers, and economists, as well as respected figures in public law and policy and sophisticated domestic and international transactional and litigation counsel. Our lawyers are prominent in the antitrust bar, holding multiple leadership positions in the ABA, and offer broad experience and credibility with key antitrust actors across the globe.
