Job Overview:
The University of Cincinnati College of Law seeks applications for a clinical teaching position in the Domestic Violence & Civil Protection Order Clinic (DVCPO) for the Spring 2025 semester. The position will be based at the University of Cincinnati College of Law and work under the supervision of Professor Kristie Bluett, the DVCPO Clinic Director.

The Clinic focuses primarily on representing survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, civil stalking and sexual assault in civil protection order cases in Hamilton County, as well as related policy and advocacy initiatives that promote systemic reform.

Essential Functions:
This position will:
  • Supervise law students in their representation of clients in civil protection order cases and will participate in the clinic's orientation and bi-weekly DVCPO Clinic seminars.
  • Receive mentorship and support from the DVCPO Clinic Director and relevant administrative support for clinic cases.

Minimum Requirements:
  • J.D. from an ABA accredited law school, membership in the Ohio Bar (with good standing status)
  • Strong oral and written advocacy skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility.
