Description:

Troutman Pepper Locke's Summer Associate Program is designed to provide second-year law students with a comprehensive and immersive experience that bridges the gap between academia and legal practice. This program is the first step in associate development, laying the foundation for a prosperous and rewarding career with our firm.

Our program emphasizes learning through first-hand experience and exposure to real client work and interactions. Summer associates will work on substantive projects for existing clients, participate in conference calls, depositions, and client interactions, and engage in pro bono and community service projects. We encourage our summer associates to explore various practice areas to discover their interests and understand what the firm has to offer.

Throughout the program, summer associates will handle sophisticated client matters, collaborate with mentors, and receive regular feedback to ensure continuous learning and growth. We offer weekly professional development workshops and training opportunities to help develop both legal and professional skills. Additionally, the program includes a variety of social activities to foster a well-rounded experience.

We welcome you to apply by submitting your cover letter, resume, law school transcript, and a writing sample. If your law school transcript is not available at the time of submission, you may apply by uploading your current transcript as a place holder. When your updated transcript becomes available, use the update link in the "Application Received" email you will receive upon submission of your application.

We are accepting applications until June 20, 2025, and will review them on a rolling basis.
