A Global Law Firm is currently accepting applications for 2026 2L summer associate positions in our Washington, DC office. Our Washington, DC office serves clients in a broad array of disciplines across multiple industries and practice groups, including Antitrust, Competition, and Trade Regulation; Asset Management and Investment Funds (AMIF); Energy, Infrastructure, and Resources; Public Policy and Law; White Collar Defense and Investigations. Recruitment for the 2026 summer associate program will focus on candidates interested in our transactional (Asset Management and Investment Funds (AMIF) and regulatory (Policy and Regulatory) practice areas.
Although candidates must have an interest in transactional or regulatory practice areas, our summer associates will receive assignments from all practice groups, will be able to work with and be mentored by attorneys in all groups, and will be fully integrated into the Washington, DC office and the firm.
Our Summer Associate Program is designed to give law students a full picture of the firm. As a summer associate, you will work closely with experienced lawyers who will provide active mentoring while you learn about our clients, practices, lawyers, and culture.

Selection Criteria:
When considering candidates, we will look at the following criteria:
- A strong interest in the Asset Management and Investment Funds; Public Policy and Law; White Collar Defense and Investigations; Antitrust, Competition, and Trade Regulation (https://www.klgates.com/asset-mgmt-and-investment-fund) practice groups
- Superior academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to the highest quality of client service
- Class of 2027 J.D. Student
