United Veterans Beacon House is a non for profit organization founded in 1994 by a group of philanthropic veterans. Today Beacon House manages and supports 52 housing locations across Long Island, providing a haven to more than 550 veteran residents each year, providing the essential services to assist every veteran in the journey toward fruitful independence. On any given day, both residents and non-resident veterans from the tri-state area benefit from programs that address homelessness, post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, mental health issues, and addiction. Non-veterans, too, have access to housing, drug/alcohol addiction services, and job skill/readiness development programs.
